We include turf to the front garden only, and we don’t include any carpets and floor coverings in our homes as standard. This allows you to choose what you’d like to do with your space and budget. If you prefer, you can choose these items as upgrades at your new home options meeting.

Less than four miles from the centre of Huddersfield, Woodsome View is just half an hour’s drive from Leeds, 45 minutes from Sheffield and approximately an hour from the centre of Manchester. Buses stopping nearby in Rowley Lane, and more frequent services from Penistone Road, 600 yards away, serve Huddersfield bus and railway stations. Trains from Huddersfield run to York, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Hull and other destinations. Manchester Piccadilly is 45 minutes away by rail
Shops and takeaways within around ten minutes’ walk of Woodsome View include Lepton Post Office, a hardware store, a pharmacy, a bakery, convenience stores and a choice of takeaways, while a service station less than a mile away incorporates a Spar store. The Waterloo area, a mile and a half to the north, includes Morrisons, Aldi and M&S Food supermarkets, a sports complex, and a leisure club with a gym, climbing wall, sauna and swimming pool. Nearby pubs include the Sun and The Rowley social club, five minutes’ walk away, that presents quiz nights, live music and comedy.
Huddersfield is a diverse and lively town with many fascinating historic buildings. Traditional streets with independent traders complement major brands in the Kingsgate Centre and the Pack Horse, a cobbled street transformed into a mall. There is an outdoor market and a magnificent Victorian arcade. The town has a large leisure centre, a multi-use sports stadium, a cinema, a theatre presenting live drama, music and comedy, and a wealth of pubs, restaurants and nightclubs. It also hosts a series of annual festivals.
With miles of open countryside and public footpaths to explore, Lepton is rich in opportunities for outdoor leisure. Woodsome Hall’s superb course and 16C clubhouse is arranged around Carr Wood, less than a mile away, and Lepton Great Wood, popular with walkers and cyclists, is immediately adjacent to the development.
Woodsome View is in the priority admission area for Rowley Lane Junior, Infant and Nursery School, which stands in beautiful grounds less than quarter of a mile away, and there is a second primary school, Lepton CE Primary Academy, around half a mile away. The priority area secondary school is King James’s School, one and a half miles from the development, a mixed comprehensive with excellent facilities. All three schools are assessed as ‘Good’ by Ofsted. For healthcare, the village’s GP Practice, Lepton Surgery, and Lepton Dental Practice are both located around half a mile away near the village pharmacy
