The picturesque town centre presents a wide choice of traditional shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants, including an open-air market specialising in local produce every other day and hosting a Collectors Market on Fridays. The town’s five supermarkets include a Lidl store around 20 minutes walk, via a pleasant footpath, from Montague Place.
Schools in Clitheroe
Nearby schools include Edisford Primary, which is just a little over five minutes walk away. Clitheroe St James Primary and Ribblesdale High are both within a mile of the development. All three are rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, two miles away, has been consistently assessed as ‘Outstanding.

People can have a lot of issues with new builds, but we haven’t experienced that with Miller Homes. The layout is great as there are four double bedrooms. My kitchen and dining area is large, even without the extra utility space we have. Whilst I’m cooking, the baby can play in the same room, which is helpful for me.

We were looking around Clitheroe and Ribble Valley because they offer fantastic schools and surrounding countryside, but Montague Place persuaded us to buy a new build. It’s a country, classic development, shown by the stone effect on the houses. A field with a little pond sits opposite us, so we don’t look out onto anyone.

Frankie, the sales lady, has been lovely. She also assisted us in getting in before the stamp duty finished.

Andy, the previous site manager, was responsive and did extra things for us. Someone outside of Miller Homes fitted our bathroom flooring, but he still sent the sealant man to seal it for us. That was lovely of them, as they were only there to fix the shower, but they were still happy to seal the remainder of the bathroom.
I’d definitely recommend Miller Homes…
