First sale at Turnstone Grange gives Miller Homes 10/10 for service

Sophie and Adam chose an interesting time to buy their first home, but ultimately, they couldn’t have been happier with their decision and their experience with Miller Homes at the Turnstone Grange development in Congleton.

Aged 24, Sophie explained that she knew this year was the right time to buy as she’d saved enough for the deposit and wanted to take the first step on the property ladder. With a 3-bedroom house set in her sights, the Stretton at Turnstone Grange ticked all the boxes. Despite the introduction of lockdown across the UK earlier this year, this didn’t stop Sophie and Adam, who recently moved into the development with their puppy, Lily. In fact, when Miller Homes ran a survey earlier this year it was found that just under 70 per cent of those house hunting this year, still plan to move by the end of 2020.

“The house buying process was daunting at first, as first-time buyers and being unsure of how the process works but we found things straight forward and reassuring buying through Miller Homes.” Sophie commented.

The couple first decided to start looking at the development late last year, which was before the launch of the Turnstone Grange show home. Going for the off-plan option, they completed their sale this year with assistance from the government-backed Help To Buy scheme and they have now moved in. When asked what the initial pull was towards the Stretton at Turnstone Grange, Sophie answered that it was the “perfect first home”.

Speaking of the development itself, Sophie added that the location was particularly attractive, describing it as “rural and quiet”, but also noting it as having excellent transport benefits. The Turnstone Grange development is located on Back Lane in Congleton and offers idyllic green spaces, with the convenience of being less than fifteen minutes-drive from the M6, making it the ideal semi-rural location. The glowing testimonial from this Turnstone Grange customer continues, with Sophie saying if she had to choose one thing that attracted her to her new home, it would be the “location”.

When asked to pick her favourite room, Sophie said it was the kitchen, thanks to the fact it is so “light and airy”. Like many Miller Homes developments, the houses at Turnstone Grange are modern and stylish with the Stretton featuring an open plan kitchen/diner, as well as a separate laundry space.

As the couple started their house hunting process in December 2019, the UK lockdown that came shortly after did have an impact on the choices they made when buying. Sophie explained that following the effects of the pandemic, when it was time to make a decision, she was looking for somewhere with “more outdoor spaces close by”. This is not an uncommon theme amongst Miller Homes buyers, with some developments in more rural locations seeing as much as a 33% uplift of web visits post-lockdown.
