First Look At Lambton Park Show Home

Lambton Park showhome opening

The eagerly anticipated five-bedroom Oak show home has launched at Miller Homes at Lambton Park near Chester-le-Street.

Officially unveiled by Miller Homes' chief executive Chris Endsor, The Oak is open for viewings allowing house hunters to visualise life at the new bespoke development.

Designed by North East interior designer Graeme Fuller and similar to the exterior of the homes, the impressive interior is in keeping with the heritage of Lambton Estate which stretches back to the 11th century.

This is especially prominent in bedrooms three and four, with one themed around Lambton Lion Park which was home to exotic animals and open to the public as a family attraction in the 1970s, and the other celebrating adventure and the estate's hidden gems such as Lambton Castle.

The heart of the home is a large kitchen, dining and family room on the ground floor, with a central island/breakfast bar in the kitchen area. Across the ground floor a neutral colour scheme runs throughout, complemented by natural light flooding in from two large feature bay windows.

One the first floor the master bedroom has an en suite as well as a spacious walk-in wardrobe, with a luxe decor of cream and gold wall coverings and furnishings. Climbing to the second floor, the second bedroom with en suite has been turned into a stylish cinema room.

Miller Homes at Lambton Park is the first phase of a new residential initiative as part of the redevelopment of Lambton Estate. The development has been sympathetically designed by renowned architect and interior designer Ben Pentreath, and will comprise 106 high-quality three, four and five-bedroom homes along with one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

Patrick Arkle, regional managing director at Miller Homes North East, said: "The Oak show home is a celebration of Lambton Estate. It has been carefully designed to balance the estate's heritage with modern day living in this stunning part of the region. Opening its doors was an important milestone in the journey of the new community we are creating as part of the estate's exciting next chapter."

Chris Endsor, chief executive of Miller Homes, added: "We are delighted to be the first homebuilder involved in creating a new landmark residential community at Lambton Park. Our development will perfectly complement the wider vision for the iconic estate as a highly desirable location to live, work and visit. This is a truly unique setting and will be an outstanding place for anyone to call home."

Interior designer of the show home Graeme Fuller said: "I have many happy memories of coming to Lambton Lion Park as a child so felt a real connection with this design scheme, which takes inspiration from the estate's past and present. It's incredibly exciting to be part of opening up the region's eyes to this hidden gem."
