Another win for Miller Homes

Leading housebuilder Miller Homes has scooped the highly-coveted accolade of Best Show Home (under 1800 sq ft) for the stylish 4 bedroom Humber property at its Doune Riggs development in Stirling at the Herald Property Awards for Scotland 2011.

The award recognises that the stunning Humber’s design enhances the home’s interior space. With a magnificent open-plan family kitchen opening on to the garden, it offers an inspiring setting for family life and entertaining.

Style, colour, fabrics, fixtures and fittings and unusual features were also some of the interiors’ qualities the award acknowledges. Margeurite Stewart designed the Humber’s rooms using natural tones, such as champagne, sand and taupe, with accent colours of gold and black. Textures range from tweeds to silk, from matt to reflective and, in a modern twist, traditional oak furniture sits alongside glass and stainless steel finishes.

Miller Homes TV (MHTV) was also commended by the judges. The online TV channel introduces potential customers to a wide range of people involved with the company. MHTV gives prospective buyers the chance to hear from people who have brought from Miller, as well as experience the product and customer care first hand. It has also showcased the talents of its award-winning site managers, observed a day in the life of one of its star sales advisors and enlisted the help of TV property personality Jenny Powell to explain the findings of a consumer survey that polled over 5,000 current and potential homeowners.

It’s the second year running that Miller Homes has enjoyed success at the prestigious Herald Property Awards for Scotland. Commenting on their latest success, Anne Marie Britton, sales director for Miller Homes Scotland East, said:
