Buses between Uttoxeter and Derby via Ashbourne, running almost hourly from Monday to Saturday with a reduced Sunday service, stop opposite the Rose and Crown pub a few minutes’ walk from Dales View. There is a good mixture of shops in the picturesque town centre of Ashbourne, while Derby, a short journey away, offers an exciting mix of high street shops, local specialist retailers, indoor and outdoor markets and covered malls.
Brailsford C of E School, rated good by Ofsted, is adjacent to the development. Children from Brailsford normally move on to Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Ashbourne. The village medical centre is just a few minutes’ walk away, and there is a choice of dentists in Ashbourne.
