New homes in Kirkcaldy

With its well-respected farmers’ market, rejuvenated town centre, sweeping bay and the picturesque, dramatic Ravenscraig Castle, Kirkaldy offers both convenience and variety.

The Fife town sits across the Firth of Forth from Edinburgh, to which either a drive or a train journey across the magnificent Queensferry Crossing takes around 50 minutes. Perth, Dundee and St Andrews are similar journey times away, putting Kirkaldy in a prime location for easy travelling.

The Adam Smith Theatre holds theatrical and musical performances, as well as being a cinema showing both arthouse and mainstream films. Kirkcaldy Galleries, the town’s major museum, art gallery and central library, also provides plenty of interest.

The three main parks in the town — Beveridge Park, Ravenscraig Park and Dunnikier Park — give plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors, play and walk dogs.

For golfing fans, Dunnikier Park includes a well regarded golf course. Meanwhile, the Fife Ice Arena is home to the oldest ice hockey team in the UK — the Fife Flyers. At the opposite end of the town, Stark’s Park is the home of Raith Rovers Football Club.

Four secondary schools are based in Kirkcaldy. They are Kirkcaldy High, Viewforth High, Balwearie High and St Andrew’s RC High, along with several primary schools.
