Location, Location, Location - Wetherby

Situated on the banks of the River Wharfe in the heart of Yorkshire, the market town of Wetherby offers much to its residents making it a very popular place to call home.

The picturesque town centre has bountiful conveniences with individual retailers and eateries as well as popular supermarkets, banks and other essential providers to ensure everyday life is suitably catered for. The majestic Town Hall presides over the market square whilst the historic “The Shambles” – built in 1811 by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire as a row of butcher’s shops - captures the historic quaintness of the town.

For those who enjoy sporting pastimes Wetherby Racecourse lies on the outskirts as does the popular Wetherby Golf Club which meanders alongside the banks of the River Wharfe in a delightful, tree-lined parkland setting.

Families can enjoy outdoor adventures at the nearby Stockeld Park, whilst the delights of Harewood House and Bramham Park are within a short drive.

The town also attracts a number of brand name industries both on its outskirts and at the nearby Thorpe Arch Estate.  Wetherby is also home to the British Library Archive and Reading Room.

It is a busy town with residents and day visitors alike enjoying the facilities that modern day life demands. Wetherby is ideally situated close to a host of ‘A’ roads, whereby the wider commuter network can be easily reached as can the nearby towns and cities of Harrogate, Leeds and York and boasting renowned visitor attractions.

The town remains a very popular place to call home and our newly opened Privas Court development takes its name from the town in France, Privas, with which it is twinned.

Privas Court is located just minutes from the centre of town with primary schools and the high school within walking distance.  Further afield is the University town of Leeds which offers a wide range of academic and vocational courses.

Further information about the development and its homes can be found by visiting http://www.millerhomes.co.uk/developments/yorkshire/privas-court-sandbeck-way.aspx
