Charity Begins at Home - Or in This Case Miller Homes!

June was certainly a busy month for us. We not only made a number of people very happy by giving away iPods holidays and a rather large sum of money as part of our 75th Birthday Bonanza but we also showed just how charitable we’re feeling at the moment by raising money for Cancer Research UK.

Our regional sales team in Yorkshire braved the hottest day of the year to take part in Wakefield’s Race for Life with all six members of the team completing the 5k run. As if that wasn’t impressive enough they completed the run donning pink tutus in an effort which raised just under £1300.

Fundraising was also the name of the game in the North East as a group of neighbours from our Pastures development in Darlington raised over £700 by running in Darlington’s own Race for Life. As many of you know we are committed to creating close-knit communities at all of our developments nationwide and the residents at Pastures saw the fundraiser as the ideal opportunity to get to know each other whilst raising money for a great cause at the same time.

I’m told that all who took part enjoyed their fundraising activity and we’re certainly proud of their efforts. With a number of other fundraising events in the pipeline we hope to show that charity does indeed begin at home – or in this case Miller Homes!
