High praise indeed!

By Sue Warwick National Sales and Marketing Director of Miller Homes.

It’s always nice to have somebody else say ‘well done’ but when that praise comes from some of the most respected observers of your industry it is especially nice.

Last night Miller Homes won the Housebuilding Innovation Award for Best Low or Zero Carbon Initiative for its Miller Zero development in Basingstoke.

This is what the judges said:

“The housebuilder’s meticulous but innovative approach to each Code level not forgetting the fact it has built homes that look habitable not experimental make Miller the undisputed winner in this category.  Miller Zero impressed the judges because it was an initiative actually underway on site which allowed the comparison to be made between the standards required from the various levels of the Code.  The judges also admired Miller’s openness about the whole experience of building the homes.”

I know from visiting the Miller Zero site on many occasions how much hard work went into the construction of the UK’s first zero carbon home by a volume housebuilder on a live site.   The end result is a showcase to the talents of many individuals at Miller Homes.
