Bo'ness showhome supports local artists
Miller Homes is supporting a Bo’ness art gallery near its new Kinglass Meadows development by purchasing pieces from local artists to go on display inside its brand new showhome.
The five-bedroom Castleford, which opened in February, features paintings sourced from Firefly Design on North Street, Bo’ness.
The Firefly artists whose work is on display at the showhome include Lorna Zanre, Connie Smith and gallery co-owner and artist, Diane Cook.
The three artists and Firefly Design co-owner, Lindsey Parker were invited to visit the showhome to get a sneak preview of their artwork in situ before the Castleford officially opened to the public.
Speaking about the collaboration with the gallery, Miller Homes’ Regional Sales Director, Lynsey Brown said: “We knew we wanted to support a local business with our Kinglass Meadows showhome, so when the art theme was decided, it made perfect sense to source the artwork from a Bo’ness gallery. We’re delighted to be working with Firefly Design to showcase some of the town’s incredible creative talent and hope any keen art enthusiasts stop by to see the pieces on display.”
Firefly Design co-owners Diane Cook and Lindsey Parker said: “We are so pleased that Miller Homes is supporting us as a local business to showcase the work of our artists. It’s great to see the art in the showhome, and we love how it has helped create a unique style for the Castleford.”
Kinglass Meadows currently has a range of three, four and five-bedroom homes available for sale, and follows Miller Homes’ previous sell-out Kinglass Fields development in Bo’ness in 2019.
