No More DIY Weekends For A Leicestershire Family
A Leicestershire family have waved goodbye to their 1960s detached house and the list of repairs that went with it, as they move into a brand new home in Kibworth.
David and Jo Bolton, together with their two children James and Ellie, are now settling into the new Miller Homes development, Centurion Place.
They had been looking for their new family home for three years. Extra room to host family and friends was needed, as well as a double garage, especially for David.
Working as a financial planner and flood risk officer, the busy couple wanted a home that required less maintenance, so they could spend weekends together instead of working around the house.
Describing the move, David said: "After living in an older home for a while, we decided we both wanted a house that required little-to-no maintenance work so we could spend more time with the kids; we want to do more of the things we enjoy, like cycling and camping."
The family has lived in Kibworth for a total of five years and the couple had their hearts set on staying close by. However, they had initially ruled out a new build home.
David explained: "Once we saw the four-bedroom Aston we knew it was the perfect property for us, with lots of space, a nice big garden and a double garage too. The Miller Homes team have been unfailingly friendly, helpful, honest and straightforward throughout the whole process, and thankfully, it took less than two months to move.
"It's no secret that moving house is stressful, but it has been a pleasure dealing with Miller Homes. The company's culture is clearly built around its customers and that was obvious from the moment we met the site manager and saw the care and attention that was put into the property.
"On the first day in the house, we had a few queries about our home and the site manager had someone round within ten minutes to help us - even before we could make our first cup of tea. A house is somewhere to live, a home is where you want to be, and from my experience, Miller Homes have certainly helped me and my family find our new home."
