Howard Mee, Land and Planning Director for Miller Homes’ Yorkshire region, said: “We are pleased that planning permission has been granted. Our development has been well considered and will provide a valuable contribution to housing needs whilst enhancing the area at the same time.
“We have worked closely with council officers and local residents to ensure Miller Homes delivers a development we can all be proud of and we are pleased councillors recognised this at the Planning Committee.”
The housebuilder is hoping to start work on the infrastructure in early 2016 and will commence sales in summer 2016.
The development is off Main Street between Airedale Hospital and farm land. The development will comprise of a mixture of homes from three bed homes to five bedroom detached family homes. Twenty-nine of the properties will be affordable.
As part of the Section 106 agreement, Miller Homes will make contributions of over £400,000 to the local area, including education, highways, transport and open space.
The development will also provide improved access to Eastburn Junior and Infant School and additional car parking. Miller Homes will also provide a secondary emergency access to Airedale Hospital.
Howard added: “We look forward to starting on site and carefully managing the works so as to create minimum disruption to local residents and ensure they are kept updated on our initial programme of works.
