Gerry and Margaret Collins are looking forward to quality family time with their daughter and grandson after moving to a new home in Crawley Down.

Having lived most of their lives in Buckinghamshire, the couple wanted to be nearer to their family, so opted to purchase a four-bedroom detached house off-plan at Miller Homes Southern’s Burleigh Woods development.

Within days of signing a contract for an Alder style property at the 46-plot development, the Collins’ quickly realised they had made the right choice.

Gerry, 61 said: “We hadn’t even considered a new build until we noticed a Miller Homes advertisement in the area. At that point our new home was just two-feet high but after contacting a Miller Homes adviser, we found moving into a new build to be very straightforward and stress free, from the initial enquiry stage right through to taking up residence.

“We now have a wonderful place to settle down, close to our family. There is lots of space in the house for us to enjoy with our family and it has a nice symmetrical layout.”

Burleigh Woods’ location is ideal for the Collins visiting their daughter and grandson in nearby Crawley Down. Close to facilities and shops and with easy access of the M23, their new house is also within a five minute walk of all the amenities the couple need.

Margaret, 63 added: “We really wanted to move nearer to our family, in order to spend more time with them, but were a little apprehensive about moving to a new area. As soon as we got started though it was clear we’d made the right choice. The staff at Miller Homes Southern were wonderful, providing us with plenty of help and giving us a timeline of our build.

“We love the fact that we are really well placed for getting out and enjoying the local countryside, as well as being close to all amenities and transport links. We really could not have asked for a better location.

She added:

“The staff at Miller Homes were very patient and helpful, I would happily recommend them. They even took us on a walkthrough of our new home upon completion. We are all delighted to have made the move, including our dog Dougal.”

Plumping for an Alder style house has seen the Collins’ benefit from a feature staircase and entrance hall, french doors, feature bay windows, a study, two en-suite bedrooms, a utility room and downstairs w/c.
