Photography student provides inspiration for luxury show home
A Sheffield Hallam University student and his photographic images of Sheffield has provided the inspiration for a stunning show home that has been recently unveiled in the city.
Arron Woolley, 20, a photography student at Sheffield University was the regional winner of the Miller Homes ‘Great Locations’ competition last year with an eye catching image of Sheffield at night. So, when it was time to design an interior scheme for the show home at its new Sheffield development, Norton Green, designer Jeanette Holmes knew just where to start.
“I was delighted when Jeanette told me my winning entry had inspired the industrial theme and I was overjoyed when she asked me if I could provide some of my images of the city for her to use as artwork throughout the house,” said Arron. “It’s great to see so many things relating to the city I now call home and having my love of Sheffield eye-catchingly portrayed in the different rooms.”
“Arron’s images really embraced all that is great about Sheffield and I wanted to reflect that in the home,” said Jeanette Holmes Interior Designer. “Sheffield is portrayed in every aspect of the property including vintage and salvage items and even a bottle of Henderson’s Relish!”
The five bedroom “Buttermere’ home has a stylish living room and dining kitchen to the ground floor where a restful colour scheme of cream, black, and subtle ochres has been used to great effect. This has been accessorized with brown leather sofas, vintage inspired lighting and a dining room table which combines natural wood and steel finishes making a real design statement.
Upstairs there are five generously sized bedrooms – three of which have en suite shower rooms and a family bathroom. The master suite is elegantly styled with a grey, ochre and black colour scheme, whilst the second bedroom is peaceful and relaxing with whisper blue and cream accessories. Bedroom three has played homage to Arron with a photography themed room displaying several of Arron’s images as well as retro cameras and photographic equipment. The fourth bedroom has striking grey and cream star print wallpaper which provides the basis for a stylish and elegant children’s room theme and the fifth room has been stylish designed as a study.
With an integral double garage, utility and downstairs cloakroom there is ample room for any family to live, play, socialises and relaxes together and is currently priced at £370,000.
The development, of just 52 three, four and five bedroom homes, is located in the leafy suburb of Norton and lies just minutes from the city centre and only a few minutes’ walk to Graves Park which offers woodland walks, lakes, playgrounds and cafes, perfect for lazy weekends. It also lies close to several top golf courses, is a few minutes’ drive from the edge of the Peak District and major arterial routes can be easily accessed allowing prospective residents to navigate their way around the city and beyond.
Norton Green is located on Matthews Lane, Norton, Sheffield S8 8JS. The development will be open 10.30am – 5.30pm from Thursday until Monday each week and the sales team can be contacted on 0808 223 2642.
