Happy Homeowner Breaks Renting Cycle

Finding the necessary funds and the right home can be a challenge for first time buyers but one happy new homeowner has found his perfect first home thanks to a local house builder and ‘Help to Buy’.

Daniel Ciuraru, 34, a private practice dental technician, managed to break the renting cycle when he purchased a brand new Miller Home at the housebuilders’ Stonebridge Fold development at East Ardsley.

Daniel had looked at new homes in the past but a lack of deposit and suitable properties had made the search difficult. However, on this occasion, he was able to take advantage of the Government initiative ‘Help to Buy’ which helps buyers with little or no deposit on to the property ladder.

'Help to Buy' offers assistance for buyers who only have a small deposit of around 5% through the provision of a 20% equity loan from the Government for those who meet the qualifying criteria. This means that buyers only need to secure up to a 75% mortgage from a bank or building society.
