Gold Leaf Comes into Bloom at Dukesmead

Miller Homes East Midlands has unveiled an exclusive collection of new properties in Nottinghamshire, set to be some of the housebuilder’s most eco-friendly in the region.

The Gold Leaf Collection at the Dukesmead development in Bingham features a choice of two, three and four bedroom homes. Each combines strong eco-friendly and sustainable housing design with a convenient and desirable location, within easy commuting distance of Nottingham, Derby and Leicester.

Key features of each of the newly released properties include efficient boilers, low energy lighting, garden water butts and rotary clothes drier. Each property has been technically assured by the Zero Carbon Hub, the body tasked with taking the lead on delivering homes to zero carbon standards by 2016.

Highlights of the collection include the four-bedroom Buckthorn style property, priced at £259,950. As well as the standard eco features, this property also benefits from the use of photovoltaic solar panels.

Other options include the Juniper, a three-bedroom property available for £179,950, which features a spacious and stylish dining kitchen, French doors leading into the garden, separate lounge and en-suite shower room to the master bedroom.

Commenting on the launch of the Gold Leaf Collection, Julia Portington, sales manager at Miller Homes in the East Midlands, said: “It really is testament to the popularity of Dukesmead as a development and the increasing confidence in the property market, that we are able to launch these new properties.

“Alongside offering quality, value for money and flexibility, sustainability has always been close to our heart at Miller, and the Gold Leaf Collection offers greater choice for buyers in the region.

“Buying a new build property is already proven to reduce energy bills for homeowners and the elements that we’ve built into this collection will certainly contribute towards this.

“This is a crucial step towards providing zero carbon homes by 2016.”

The Gold Leaf Collection at Dukesmead will also be available via the newly launched Help to Buy initiative. Unveiled as part of this year’s budget, the scheme offers assistance for buyers who only have a 5% deposit. A 20% equity loan is provided from the Government for those who meet the qualifying criteria, meaning buyers only need to secure up to a 75% mortgage from a bank or building society.
