Miller Homes Launches Jubilee Art Competition
Children under the age of 11 could be in with the chance of scooping a prize fit for a King or Queen with the launch of a Diamond Jubilee themed art competition from national housebuilder, Miller Homes.
To go alongside the bunting and flags at participating developments, Miller Homes is tasking children to draw or paint a portrait of The Queen to celebrate her 60th year on the throne.
Throughout May, entries can be dropped into Miller Homes’ marketing suites in the West Midlands, East Midlands, North West and Yorkshire regions and participating developments in the Scotland West region* where they will be displayed in very special portrait galleries over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend (Saturday 2 – Tuesday 5 June). In the Southern region, be sure to submit your entry over the Bank Holiday weekend and they will be displayed up until Sunday 10th June.
Prizes are up for grabs in each region for the winners in three age group categories – seven and under, eight to nine, and 10 to 11. For more information and to pick up an entry form, simply contact your nearest participating Miller Homes development. Don’t forget to provide your contact details on the back of your entry so we can contact you if you are a lucky winner!
Victoria Finch, National Marketing Manager for Miller Homes, said: “We’re very excited to be launching our Diamond Jubilee art competition and can’t wait to see the entries. The children’s portraits will bring some extra colour to our developments throughout the Diamond Jubilee weekend.
“We will be looking for colourful entries that have that something different to make them stand out. With the Diamond Jubilee, amongst other landmark events, 2012 is a very special year and we hope the entries will reflect that. At Miller Homes we aim to make 2012 a memorable year, not least by helping househunters find their dream home.”
Terms and conditions apply. A full list of terms and conditions are on display in the marketing suites of participating Miller Homes developments.
*Participating developments in Scotland West are Highfield Manor, East Kilbride; Oakwood, Cumbernauld; and Kirkton Park, West Kilbride.
