The Miller Group Wins Management Contract for Thomas Mitchell Homes.

The Miller Group is pleased to announce that it has been awarded management contracts with a combined residential development value of £120m.

The majority of value will be generated from nine former Thomas Mitchell Homes’ sites in Scotland. The sites will be re-branded and fully integrated as part of the Miller Homes business and developed over a four year period. The contract was awarded after a competitive process managed by KPMG.

The Thomas Mitchell Homes’ management contract is a follow-on to The Rock, Bury, which Miller was awarded in June. This involves the management and sale of a 113 unit residential development, which is part of a wider mixed use scheme.

Keith Miller, CEO of Miller Group said: “We were approached by KPMG (the administrators of Thomas Mitchell) earlier this year and went through a competitive bidding process. Our experience, operational ability and track record have contributed to The Miller Group winning this management contract. We hope that the expertise which we have developed in this field will lead to further similar opportunities in the future. Thomas Mitchell provides high quality homes and will become an important part of the Miller Homes’ portfolio, reinforcing our position as a major housebuilder in Scotland. The landbank associated with this contract consists of 601 plots with detailed planning.”

Joint Administrator, Blair Nimmo, said “We are delighted to have concluded this contract with The Miller Group which will facilitate the build-out of the nine sites which have been mothballed since our appointment”.

Miller Group released their Interim Results on Thursday 9 September.
