Newtongrange

Newtongrange

Newtongrange is a thriving community with a rich heritage and within commuting distance of Edinburgh.  It has a number of local amenities, including shops, a railway station and primary school.

The town has a proud mining history and was once home to the Lady Victoria Colliery. Today, the National Mining Museum Scotland stands on the site of this well-preserved Victorian coalmine.

You can also take a stroll along the landscaped paths at Welfare Park, which also has sports facilities and play areas. Or hop on a train and you can be at Edinburgh Waverley in around 25 minutes, where a vast array of shops, restaurants, cafés, galleries and events await you, including the Fringe, the International Film Festival and Military Tattoo.
