Think about your colour scheme.
Using the colours that are already in your home is a great way to create a chic Christmas look, that fits in perfectly with your existing décor.
Christmas decorations are available in a huge variety of colours now, so whether your home is filled with rich shades of red, pink and gold, or cool tones of blue, silver and grey, you should be able to find plenty of beautiful decorations and ornaments to tie in perfectly with your home.
Use the 'rule of three.'
When it comes to your Christmas tree decorations, Eileen recommends keeping it simple and sticking to three colours throughout for a sophisticated look. Choose a palette of three complementary shades, with a base colour, an accent tone, and a metallic element for extra festive sparkle.
Don't be afraid to decorate throughout the house.
Gone are the days where decorations are confined to the Christmas tree alone! This year, why not give your whole home a full festive makeover, and add a touch of sparkle to every room.
Try a showstopping wreath for the front door, glittering garlands wrapped around your staircase, opulent mantelpiece decorations and a stunning decorative tablescape, to bring a sense of luxury to your home this Christmas.
Keep it simple for maximum style.
When setting the table for your Christmas lunch, Eileen recommends using plain white crockery; it's the perfect base colour and won't clash with your colour scheme.
You can then add your luxury elements on top; gold cutlery, and themed matching napkins, table runners, and why not consider adding place cards for an elegant touch.
Add in a show-stopping centrepiece for Festive finish.
The Christmas table isn't complete without a touch of sparkle! For the most special meal of the year, nothing but the best will do.
Finish your table with a stunning centrepiece, such as a vase of beautiful Christmas flowers, or a row of poinsettias placed in the middle, for a traditional festive feel. Tall, tapered candles in elegant candlesticks are always glamorous (but be extra careful if you have little ones!), or you can find plenty of stylish faux foliage centrepieces on the high street that add an extra sense of occasion.
