Strategic land is land which does not have planning consent. It tends to be in proximity to existing development and has a strong relationship to the services and facilities of the settlement, so that its delivery would result in a sustainable form of development. In addition, the land is in areas where there is a strong demand for housing.
We identify and secure an interest in land in these targeted locations, via an agreement to purchase or sell on the open market at a future date, which is then triggered on the receipt of an implementable planning consent.

The land currently does not benefit from a planning consent although it may have been allocated for residential development in the relevant local plan.
