Web Developer (Full Stack)

We are looking to recruit a Full stack Web Developer to join our IT team based in our Scotland East region.
We are looking to appoint a full stack Web Developer to work within the digital content delivery team whose wider remit is to underpin our ongoing digital transformation strategy.
As a web developer for www.millerhomes.co.uk you will be involved in building brand new functionality based on requirements gathered from our sales and marketing team as well as providing 2nd line support for the platform and solutions delivered. The website is also heavily integrated with other internal business systems, so experience of systems integration is a plus.
This is an exciting hands-on opportunity to work on both front and back-end technologies of our platform which is deployed on Sitecore XP 10 running in the Microsoft Azure cloud. As such we are looking to recruit an individual with excellent coding skills and ideally some integration/database experience.
Good communication skills are essential to assist and support our internal customers as they adopt the new features and functionality which have been deployed.
This person will have a natural passion and drive to the ‘get the job done’ and will possess a good team working ethos.
The successful candidate will have a willingness and ability to undertake work both on site and in our regional offices throughout the UK. Some flexible working is also available.
This is a senior role, and we are looking for a candidate with at least 5 years commercial experience, who can hit the ground running.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience
• System design or IT related college or university degree, or relevant commercial experience.
• At least 5 years commercial experience
• Experience in the design, coding, and testing of technical solutions.
• Understands systems development lifecycle and processes.
Responsibilities
• Design, code, test and deploy developed code
• Attend stakeholder meetings, gather requirements, and contribute to the website roadmaps.
• Create test plans that can be followed by the business
• Documentation of solutions / functionality developed
• Support of current website, APIs and related processes
Scope
Our Homes business has a tradition of building family homes for over 85 years and has built a reputation for providing the highest standards of quality and care for our customers throughout the entire homebuilding journey.
The Miller Homes IT department is a centralised function supporting all the information technology systems and requirements across our business in every discipline, from sales and commercial to production and customer care. Within Miller Homes, we believe technology is a business enabler and contributes to the team approach at the core of Miller’s thinking.
The successful candidate will be part of the Digital Content Delivery (DCD) team whose wider focus is on both the pre- and post-production support of Miller Homes’ consumer website plus further enhancement of our in the cloud CRM platform, mobile development, and integration solutions. This team along with the service delivery, infrastructure and business analytics teams constitute the Miller Homes IT function.
