We are looking to recruit a Group Sales Manager based in our Edinburgh Office reporting to the Group Head of Sales.

A role within the Miller Homes Group function reporting to the Group Head of Sales. Working closely with the wider Group Sales, Marketing and Communications team, our appointed agencies, and the Group IT function. Providing support to regional Sales and Marketing teams and the wider business to achieve the Group’s business targets and aspirations.

Supports the Group Head of Sales in

  • Monitoring the effectiveness of sales performance across the company.
  • Identifying and sharing company best practice
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing effectiveness of sales training programmes across the company.

Key Functional Areas

  • Monitor and report on performance to ensure Miller Homes/St Modwen Homes sales KPI’s are achieved.
  • Monitor processes and ensure sale’s policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Monitor development launches, including visualisation, web content and development set up.
  • Monitor the customer journey is delivered to all customers and is delivered in line with NHQC requirements.
  • Research and monitor competitor performance and market movements in the housing sector.
  • Update the Group Head of Sales on regional performance and bring attention to any potential or actual concerns.
  • Liaise with third parties including mystery shop companies, training providers and IFAs
  • Manage the Sales Pathway to ensure all DSMs complete within given timeframes
  • Deliver the Miller Homes Induction to all DSMs
  • Work closely with CRM Managers, IT and Finance to ensure data in the system is correct
  • Manage the Miller Homes/St Modwen Homes Mystery shop program and report on findings
  • Analyse data and present in a way all disciplines in the business can understand

  • Is commercially aware and competent.
  • Has ability to understand complicated data and can analyse the data and report on findings.
  • Has the confidence and ability to deliver quality training.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to absorb significant amounts of numerical and financial information, distil it & report on it.
  • Has the ability to travel for a number of days at any given time.

  • Self-motivated, thinks outside the box and is innovative.

(3) Knowledge, Experience and Qualification

  • An exceptional Sales professional, with exposure to a management / leadership role
  • A degree in Management, Business, Economics or similar or has gained similar level of knowledge working in an equivalent role.
  • Ideally worked in a sales role in the new build sector, although this is not as important as a proven record of delivering results and transferable skills

  • Support the Group Sales Manager with decision making relating to group sales performance

  • Actively engages in issues to improve Miller Homes performance

  • Able to relate to people at all levels of an organisation, and to establish and maintain respect both professionally and personally
  • Be accountable; comfortable reporting to the senior management team
  • Develop positive working relationships with external stakeholders
