Happy Couples At Chestnut Grove

Two couples are settling into rural life in Wellesbourne after making the move to Chestnut Grove with Miller Homes. 

Ross and Lauren Owen and Adam Goodenough and his fiancée Laura, were both looking for spacious properties to put down their family roots, and the Warwickshire development ticked all the boxes. 

Both couples were attracted by the excellent local amenities and felt that the village’s location, seven miles from Stratford upon Avon, nine miles from the Cotswolds and just a five-minute drive from the M40, was ideal.

Having said “I do” in April, Adam and Laura are now enjoying life together as a married couple in a three-bedroom house at Chestnut Grove, and they are hoping that their larger home will give them enough space to start a family.

Ross and Lauren felt that they had outgrown their previous three-bedroom home and wanted a house that offered more room for their three-year-old daughter Amelie to play.

As both couples explain, the move has opened many doors:

“Chestnut Grove is conveniently located with nearby towns and cities just on the doorstep, but is also very much in an idyllic, rural setting,” Adam said.

“Being able to take nice walks in the countryside, particularly once we decide to start a family, was a big part of the appeal for us.”

Adam and Laura chose a three-bedroom Pushkin property, and were impressed by the features it offered, including the double driveway and en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom.

For Ross and Lauren it was the four-bedroom Mitford property they fell in love with. The layout really attracted them; with the open plan kitchen and dining room leading out onto the garden.

The couple also liked the separate, spacious living room, which provided a great space in which to rest and have some down time at the end of a busy family day.

Ross commented: “The team at Miller Homes held our hands throughout the whole buying process, which really took the headache out of it.

“The team updated us regularly on our house build and really made us feel part of the construction process. They also ensured the house was snag-free when we got the key,” he added.

The Goodenoughs are equally positive about their home and the house buying process.

“It was key that we purchased a new build property, as our previous house was an older building and we ended up doing a lot of work to it over the years, which we wanted to avoid,” Adam explained.

“We really enjoyed being able to choose our fixtures, and opted for a mix of high-end and standard appliances, which really suited us well. Nothing was too much trouble for the team at Miller Homes; everything from start to finish was very painless.”

Both couples also opted for attractive purchase incentives offered by the housebuilder.

“We took advantage of the Help to Buy equity loan. It was the only way we could secure our dream home, so it really did make the difference for us in being able to purchase our forever family home,” Adam said.
