Pumpkin Spice Vibes: Get Your Home Autumn-Decor Ready

Pumpkin Spice Vibes: Get Your Home Autumn-Decor Ready
As the days get colder and we swap nights out for quiet nights in, it's time to get autumn ready. It's all about warm colour schemes, cosy pillows, throws and pumpkins galore this season - here are some of our favourite ways to fall in love with this autumn.

We've got you covered

Soft wool blankets, obnoxiously chunky knits and thick throws are a must during the colder months. As well as serving a practical purpose, they are also a great way to add colour and texture to any room. Try DIY-ing a chunky arm knit throw, there are some super easy tutorials out there and they look so good draped over chairs or at the bottom of your bed - not to mention the warmth all that wool provides!

Spice, spice baby...

Another way to bring the feel of autumn to your home is through olfactory senses. You don't have to slave away for hours baking pies in your kitchen for your home to smell cosy and inviting. There are so many great candles that emulate the smell of freshly baked gingerbread or warm pumpkin spice.

Turn over a new leaf

Incorporating leaves and leaf prints into your home decor will instantly give you that autumnal vibe. Try swapping out the art on your walls for framed prints of leaves in traditional autumnal oranges, reds and browns, or even press genuine fallen leaves and frame them to hang on your wall.

Go big or gourd home

Add a little extra spice to your living area with accent pieces that welcome the transition from summer. Add some faux pumpkins or a festive leaf garland to your central mantlepiece as a focal point for your living space. From ceramic decorations to jack-o-lanterns, there's always a way to add an essence of autumn to your home. Hanging an autumnal themed wreath on your front door is a great way to add seasonal colours to the outside of your home.

All that glitters

Shine bright with feature embellishments of gold, brass or copper - don't be afraid to mix your metals. Try pairing furniture with metal finishings and metallic lamps, table decorations and ornamental trinkets to really blend the accents together.

Cushion crazy

Cushions are the perfect tool for updating your home to embrace the coming season and luckily the current homeware trend of velvet-everything suits the cosiness of the season wonderfully. Our favourite colour is definitely burnt orange, the hue looks just right in velvet fabrics and instantly makes a living room or bedroom look a little more autumn-ready. Don't forget patterned cushions too, they're really on trend this season - think farmhouse chic.
