Crook attracts people from throughout the surrounding towns and villages to shop in its relaxed atmosphere and visit its twice-weekly open market. The town is a 20-minute drive from Durham, which has an attractive pedestrianised centre that brings an even wider choice into reach. Transport
There is a train station at Bishop Auckland, around five miles from Heather Lea Green, with services to Darlington, Middlesbrough and Saltburn. The development is in easy reach of the A1(M), making it a convenient commuting base for Durham and Darlington.
