Miller Homes Launches Innovative New Tools To Help Homebuyers

Innovative new tools to help homebuyers

The introduction of innovative new tools by leading housebuilder Miller Homes is set to make buying and settling into a new home even simpler.

A new online tool will enable potential homebuyers to visualise their kitchen and once they have moved into the property they can instantly and easily get familiar with all the new mod cons in their brand new home through QR codes.

The Kitchen Visualiser tool allows visitors to the Miller Homes website to create their dream kitchen in a couple of clicks by choosing from a selection of kitchen styles, cupboard door fronts and worktops to find their ideal combination.  Once users have selected the kitchen of their choice they can print or share their chosen combinations via social media or email.

In addition, once new customers move into their Miller home the appliances and products in the property, such as heating, hob, oven and even the front door and windows, now feature QR codes as standard.  By downloading the Miller Homes QR reader app and scanning the code on each appliance or feature, customers can access simple and informative instructional videos. They can then operate the appliance whilst viewing the instructional videos on their hand held device.

Anne Marie Britton, National Sales and Marketing Director at Miller Homes said: “We are continuously looking to identify ways we can enhance our customers’ experience and we understand that there is a great deal of choices to make and information to absorb when buying and settling in to a new home.

“The Kitchen Visualiser tool is an engaging way for customers to consider the options for their home and share their choices with friends and family.  The tool also provides customers with the opportunity to run through the ranges in the comfort of their own home ahead of their options and extras meeting.

“We will continue to provide in-depth home demonstration tours and instruction documents upon handover, however using QR codes will allow customers to follow step-by-step instructions from a smartphone or tablet allowing them to quickly get familiar with their new appliances and products, giving them the confidence to use them as soon as they move into their new home.”

The Kitchen Visualiser tool can be accessed via the homepage and development pages of the Miller Homes website.

The QR reader app, which is available on Apple and Android devices, will also help bring developments to life as QR codes on sales literature and site plans, allowing access to development flythroughs and housetype virtual tours.

The Miller Homes website, www.millerhomes.co.uk, has already been enhanced to enrich the customer experience from the very beginning.  Customers can take advantage of innovative new features including personalisation, Stamp Duty and Mortgage calculators - which include a Help to Buy calculator and an intelligent search facility, simplifying the process of searching for a new home.

Post reservation, customers can continue their journey digitally through a dedicated section of the Miller Homes website, mymillerhome.com. This provides customers with updates on the build and buying progress of their home via the website, email and SMS message.
