Miller Homes won Family Home of the Year at Homes for Scotland’s annual awards ceremony.

Miller Homes is celebrating after winning Family Home of the Year at Homes for Scotland’s annual awards ceremony, on 12 May 2017.

The award-winning Yeats house type is a beautiful four-bedroom property designed with family life in mind. The adjoined kitchen and dining room expands across one side of the home, creating a light and airy downstairs space. The ground floor is finished with a tasteful lounge, featuring a bay window, a practical utility room and WC. Upstairs, the master bedroom has an ensuite and two further bedrooms share a Jack and Jill ensuite.

The Yeats house type can be found across several Miller Homes developments in Scotland. In the East, there are plots available at Ashludie Grange in Monifieth and at Regents Gate in Fife. The property is also available in Ayr at Doonholm Meadows in Alloway, and Keepers Gate at Ellismuir in Broomhouse is currently offering Part Exchange on selected Yeats plots, where, the housebuilder take responsibility for putting an existing home on the market meaning there are no estate agent or home report fees to worry about.

The judging panel were impressed by the house style stating: “The Yeats satisfied all elements of the criteria for this category.  The spacious kitchen and family open plan layout across the full width of the rear of the property provides flexibility and good space for interaction. The home has lots of storage space and the layout provides additional amenity on the upper floor with a Jack and Jill ensuite to help ensure stress free mornings - a bonus for any family!”

Neil Gaffney, Area Sales and Marketing Director from Miller Homes Scotland said: “We’re really proud to receive this award. We aim to make the process of moving as easy as possible for our buyers and part of that is offering homes that suit their lifestyle. The Yeats is great for growing families as there’s flexibility and it gives everyone their own space in a bright, open and welcoming home.”
