Less than 20 minutes drive from the centre of Sheffield and 15 minutes from the M1, Woodmore Place is adjacent to bus routes linking Mosborough with Crystal Peaks retail park, and several bus services into Sheffield town centre run along the nearby High Street. The Supertram terminus at Halfway, around a mile from the development, also links the area with the city centre and Malin Bridge.

The local shops in and around Mosborough High Street, a few minutes walk away, include a post office, a newsagent, an off-licence, and a greengrocer and fruiterer as well as hairdressers, food takeaways and other services. There is a pharmacy next to the Health Centre in Queen Street, and a Morrisons supermarket with recycling facilities for glass and textiles in Halfway, approximately one mile to the east. 

To the north, the Crystal Peaks shopping mall and retail park brings together an enormous choice of high street fashion, sport and leisure, food and electronics retailers alongside cafés, restaurants, and a covered marketplace with more than 100 stalls. Crystal Peaks also incorporates a more comprehensive recycling centre and a well-equipped Places gym with a dedicated ladies only area, while children can enjoy fun with exercise at the Runaround Play Centre, just over a mile away. The superb sports and swimming amenities of Westfield School, the local secondary, are also open to the community at various times on weekdays, and all day at weekends. 

There is a choice of traditional pubs within a short walk of Woodmore Place, and Sheffield presents a wide selection of cinemas, theatres and other live venues. For outdoor relaxation, Rother Valley Country Park offers mountain biking, bird watching and watersports as well as a delightful environment for walks and picnics, and Shirebrook Valley Nature Reserve provides 100 hectares of natural habitats to explore. Both are less than four miles from the development, and the local golf club, Birley Wood, is just over two miles away.
