Just north of Durham’s popular cathedral lies the attractive Sniperley Park, which has been inspired by its historical and natural surroundings.  

Residents can enjoy the benefits of being within just a couple of miles from the city centre, which is accessible by the nearby Sniperley Park and Ride, or by bike. Durham has numerous picturesque cycling routes and is connected by a growing number of cycle lanes.

There are also some excellent walking spots nearby, including Aykley Woods, which has picturesque ponds rich with flora and fauna, as well as beautiful mature ancient woods with vistas of the cathedral and the Wear woodlands.
