We are recruiting a Site Engineer to join our Technical team who will split their time between our North West & Yorkshire office’s reporting to the Technical Directors.  


The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a strong working partnership at site level between site management, groundwork contractors and the Technical and Commercial teams. They will lead the early preparation of draft Surface Water Management Plans at planning submission stage working jointly with the Technical, Production and SHE teams across both regions. The Site Engineer will manage, monitor and instruct Surface Water Management measures on site through the duration of the projects focusing on high risk projects involving earthworks and / or adjacent to water courses.

You will advise on, record and check site engineering matters and provide engineering assistance to control/reduce costs, risks and time delays to the business. You will also manage the adoptions process and bonds for roads and sewers.


The successful candidate will be responsible for Assisting the Contracts Managers / Site Managers by taking on a lead role with Groundworker liaison, particularly during the first 6 months after site commencement.

You should possess site engineering and setting out experience, particularly with a groundwork contractor and an understanding of the process of road and sewer agreements is required.

You will be knowledgeable and experienced in the house building sector and will have a working knowledge of AutoCAD.
