We are looking to recruit a Senior Land Manager to work as part of our Land Team in the Wakefield Office reporting to the Land Director.

 

As a Senior Land Manager you will be responsible for the identification of land and development opportunities both short and medium term in line with budget and forecast requirements. Your duties will include maintaining a comprehensive network of relevant contacts, particularly in the regional operating area.  Progress deals post offer acceptance, including liaising with internal and external parties. Negotiate and progress conditional contracts towards unconditionality.  Support the Area Land function to meet explicit business strategy and objectives.  It is imperative that the successful candidate can demonstrate a track record of land acquisition working independently but also the ability to expedite the period of time from offer acceptance to Exchange of Contracts.

 

The successful candidate will have at least five years’ experience of land acquisition, gained in a house building environment. Your key skills will include negotiation, communication, numeracy, report writing, data analysis, IT proficiency (inc MS Excel), and project management and presentation skills. Ideally you will have a degree in a planning/property related discipline or will be qualified by relevant experience.

 

A good standard of written English is essential with the ability to meet tight deadlines. The role involves travel which requires a full driving licence.
