We are looking to recruit a HR Administrator to join our HR Department based in our Edinburgh Office reporting to the Group HR Operations Manager.  

The role will primarily be to supervise the day to day operation of the Human Resources administration function. The main administration activities are centred around the preparation and issuing of employment offers, revisions to employees  terms and conditions of employment, absence management, co-ordinating our website recruitment activities and responding to employee’s general HR related queries regarding our policies, procedures and practices.

Other duties will include managing the administration of incentive arrangements, salary reviews, pre-employment checks, occupational health (OH) services and the renewal of insured employee benefits such as private medical insurance and life cover. This will involve liaising with external providers such as our pension scheme administrators, OH services and our insurance broker. 

The preparation and reporting to the Group Board of key HR metrics is also a significant and important feature of the role.

It is essential that candidates have had previous experience in a similar role, having demonstrated superior administrative skills coupled with the ability to motivate and supervise colleagues. You will have strong IT skills and be comfortable and proficient in producing statistical management information. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential in the role as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and tact when dealing with sensitive and/or confidential matters.

Attention to detail and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are essential.
