Situated in the heart of Renfrewshire and surrounded by rolling countryside, Paisley is celebrated for its rich history and culture. Within easy reach of Glasgow Airport as well as the M8 and M77, it's one of the most well-connected towns outside of Glasgow and home to a host of fantastic leisure facilities and attractions. It's home to architectural treasures
 
Paisley is full of striking architecture, meaning there's a story to tell on every corner. There are 110 listed buildings in the town centre, including the Paisley Abbey which is a former monastery dating back to the 12th century, the Coats Memorial Baptist church which has been a feature of Paisley's skyline for more than 100 years and you can see magnificent Victorian architecture at Paisley Town Hall.
 
You can shop till you drop
 
Textiles have played a significant role in the town's heritage, with the iconic Paisley Pattern design having been worn by a host famous faces including Queen Victoria and the Beatles. Paisley Museum is home to a historical collection of items including Paisley shawls, working looms and pattern books.
 
For today's fashionistas, INTU Braehead shopping centre is just a 10 minute drive away, where you can find over 50 popular high-street stores, restaurants and leisure activities including bowling, indoor skiing and mini golf.
 
Take in a view of the city
 
The Gleniffer Braes are a short range of hills found in Robertson Country Park where there are woodland trails alongside streams and waterfalls as well as picnic areas and bird watching sites - the perfect place to spend the spring/summer months. You can take in the stunning views of Paisley and the lower Clyde Valley to Ben Lomond from the Braes. You can even enjoy a clean winter's evening spotting star constellations at the Car Park in the Sky.

Trains from Hawkhead run every half an hour, and the journey to Glasgow Central is just 17 minutes making the town a great base for commuters.
