Golf pros, beginners and young golfers are welcome as the facilities include a 28-bay driving range, 18-hole golf course and 18-hole mini-golf golf course. There's tuition if you're looking to take up the sport or brush up on your skills, as well as a junior academy for children.
Gosforth Leisure Centre
The whole family can become members at Gosforth Leisure Centre and enjoy a whole range of activities to get active. There's two swimming pools open for general swimning with classes for children and specialist sessions, a sauna, fitness gym and studio space. if fitness classes are more your thing there's plenty to choose from, or personal training is an option too. Plus little ones can keep busy during school holidays as an activity programme runs, so you can have a workout or dip in the pool while they have their own fun.
Kingston Park
Hop in the car and in less than 10 minutes you'll find yourself at the home of the Newcastle Falcons. Whether you're a rugby fan or new to the sport, you'll get caught up i the exciting atmosphere as fans cheer on the team, so a game makes a great day out. Children are welcome too and can a become Junior Falcon which includes invitations to special events and gifts.
Newcastle Quayside
Easily reached in the car or on the bus is Newcastle's famous Quayside which is never short of things to see or do. For families, Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art always has something crafty for children to unleash their inner artist, while adults browse the various exhibitions which change regularly. The viewing platform is always worth stopping by too. Perfect for a lazy Sunday morning is a wander through Quayside Market which is on every week and has a great mix of stalls with everything from foodie treats to trinkets and clothing.
