Location, Location, Location - Gainsborough

Situated on the northern fringes of Lincolnshire, the town of Gainsborough is a peaceful place to call home.

Hugging the banks of the River Trent, the town has a rich heritage associated with industry and had the accolade of being the most inland port in its hey-day – it was located more than 55 miles from the nearest coastline.

Today, the town has evolved to be a bustling place populated with everything that modern lifestyles require. There are several primary schools, including St Georges close to our Brooklands development, and the town has one of the top state secondary schools in the UK, Queen Elizabeth’s High School. Close by are dedicated sixth form colleges to ensure education to the age of 18 can be enjoyed close to home.

Industry has always played a significant part in Gainsborough and one of its most significant works, the Marshall family’s Britannia Works, was developed into a tasteful shopping attraction Marshall’s Yard, boasting big name brands as well as independent retailers. Close by is Gainsborough Golf Club, with its famous PING academy and 18 hole course, which welcomes visitors from near and far.

Situated close to a host of ‘A’ roads, the wider commuter network can be easily reached as can the nearby towns of Doncaster and Retford, the cathedral city of Lincoln and the affluent market town of Bawtry with its designer shops and fantastic array of restaurants.

Gainsborough continues to be a popular place to call home enjoying a sense of rural tranquility whilst supporting the needs of everyday life. It remains popular for couples and families alike.

Brooklands is located on the outskirts of the town and has a selection of three and four bedroom family homes. The popular development is nearing completion and build will be completed later this year.
