Location Location Location - Harrogate
Fancy living in the ‘Happiest Place in England’? Well choose Harrogate as your next place to call home and you can do just that! Topping the ‘Rightmove’ poll for the third year in a row, the spa town has much to offer as does it near neighbour Knaresborough.
The towns fall within the county of North Yorkshire and are betwixt the National Parks of Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors with stunning scenery and an amazing range of outdoor activities from walking to sailing and even gliding! Back in town, Harrogate has a wealth of culture and history with its spa baths dating back to 1813 as well as a vibrant shopping and social scene. It’s also home to Taylors of Harrogate tea producers and Betty’s tea rooms, two well known Yorkshire institutions! Knaresborough, although smaller, also has much to offer, including a castle, delightful riverside walks, cafes and boat hire, along with its quirky, yet enthralling Petrifying Well at Mother Shipton’s Cave and the legends that surround her story.
It is a popular destination for retail therapy and weekends away with a number of acclaimed shops, delicatessens, restaurants, wine bars and hotels. Just out of town is RHS Harlow Carr gardens, a must for any gardening enthusiast as well as providing fun for all the family and the striking Ripley Castle, still inhabited by the Ingilby family.
Our development, Quercus Green, is located midway between the two towns in Starbeck and our homes are ideally located close to major commuter networks, local railway station and a host of local shops as well as a major supermarket making everyday life a little easier. Starbeck Primary School, which received a ‘good’ rating from OFSTED at its last inspection, is also nearby as are numerous secondary schools including the outstanding Harrogate Grammar School and Harrogate College, which offers a range of graduate and vocational courses many of which are accredited by University of Hull. And, if you were in any doubt as to the visual appeal of the place, Starbeck won the RHS Urban Community Category in 2013. For sporty members of the family, Quercus Green is close to Starbeck Tennis Club and Harrogate Golf Club.
Homes at Quercus Green range from four bedroom family homes to five bedroom luxury, executive homes all of which are energy efficient.
The show home provides inspiration for buyers with a stunning shabby chic, Emma Bridgewater theme created by Yorkshire based interior designer, Jeanette Holmes.
The development is located on Bogs Lane, Harrogate, HG1 4EB. The sales centre is open Thursday – Monday, 10.30am to 5.30pm. The team can be contacted on 03301 349 245 and further information can be found at http://www.millerhomes.co.uk/developments/yorkshire/quercus-green.aspx
