Restful Palettes and Natural Settings

Restful Palettes and Natural Settings

Following on from our last blog, we have some fresh inspiration for decorating your home.  For those looking for some top tips, Rob Burton of Dapa Interiors who designs the show homes on some of our developments, shares his thoughts as to what is set to be on trend this year.

Geometric elements will hold a strong presence throughout 2015. This bold design is great for adding edge to any room through fabrics, accessories and furniture, creating a stylish living space with simple shapes that are intriguing and captivating. Up-cycling and breathing life into pre-loved items is also popular and will help bring an eclectic feel to a room whilst injecting character into furniture.

Natural settings, botanical gardens and leafy greens are set to be a strong influence in the next 12 months, bringing floral and fauna into any room. Whilst copper burnished metals and rose coppers are adorning everything in the kitchen from lighting to cutlery.

Soft coral, mint green and lemonade colours are essential this year. These restful palettes lend themselves perfectly to simple and individual accessories that can bring real character and personality to a room. To add depth, accent a room with bronze, gold and dark greys for a deeper more intense palette.
