A Leading Sustainable House Builder

Following the launch of the NextGeneration Benchmark 2012, we are delighted to have retained our position as one of the industry’s most sustainable house builders.

As an increasing number of our peers switch on to the benefits of sustainability, we are delighted to have maintained our top three ranking within the benchmark for the fifth consecutive year, with an overall score in 2012 of 76%.

The NextGeneration benchmark is the only one of its kind that ranks the performance and commitment of the UK’s top 25 house builders in delivering sustainable homes and communities every year as well as their general performance in relation to sustainability.

Each house builder is assessed across a number of different categories, from strategy to stakeholder engagement and energy to ecology, with the assessment designed to encourage better investment, policy and strategy in the delivery of sustainable homes and to share best practice.

Sustainability is a key aspect of our business and we recognise the benefits it offers us. We are continually looking at ways in which we can enhance this further and the NextGeneration benchmark not only helps validate the good work we are doing but helps us to identify ways we can further develop and continue to grow this increasingly important area of our business.
