Why Bury - Rocks

Why Bury - Rocks
If there’s one thing we like at Miller Homes it’s leaving a lasting legacy.  In fact we’ve been building homes for over 75 years and in that time we’re proud to have provided tens of thousands of people with a place to call home.
But as a business we do more than just build homes - we build communities too and we try to protect the planet in the process.
Several years ago we became the first housebuilder to enable residents on each of our developments to get to know one another online – through mymillerstreet.  More recently we developed one of the country’s first ever zero carbon homes in Basingstoke and in the last few days we announced details on our scheme at The Rock Bury – the final piece in the town’s impressive regeneration jigsaw.

The Rock is the largest retail leisure and residential scheme to open in the UK in 2010.  Based in the centre of Bury the development  opens on 16 July 2010 and will house over 60 stores (including M&S Next Primark and Debenhams) as well as a 1250 space car park eight restaurants a ten screen Vue cinema complex and a 24 lane AMF bowling centre.

More than all that - it will also  create a new town square for Bury and has sparked a comprehensive upgrade of the surrounding streets roads and public areas.

This Sunday (20 June) there will be guided tours of The Rock designed to give visitors an appreciation of the size scale and appeal of the regeneration programme.  As part of this we will be unveiling the first details on the residential aspect of the scheme.

Miller Homes @ The Rock brings something new and exciting to the local property market In short we will be developing 113 one and two bedroom apartments – all with a very contemporary look and feel.

The new apartments are situated in two buildings.  86 properties are located above the new Marks and Spencer store – providing truly incredible views of the new shopping square St John’s Gardens. There are also a further 27 apartments next to the brand new leisure facilities

Miller Homes @ The Rock also marks our first return to town since completing Miller Brook in Tottington in 2006. We couldn’t be happier than to be involved with this land mark £340m scheme which will be a lasting legacy for Bury and act as a catalyst for further inward investment.

Prices are yet to be released but we’re pleased with interest to date.  So if you’re after a quality home with a contemporary twist in the Northwest let’s er Rock!?
