Twitter Revolution!
By Sue Warwick National Sales and Marketing Director of Miller Homes.
Not so long ago the majority of people didn’t know their Tweetdecks from their Twitterberries and even less people had heard of ‘Follow Friday’ or ‘Hash Tags’.
I am of course referring to the world phenomenon that is Twitter something that Miller Homes has not been immune to.
At first we were sceptical as I imagine many people were. But we soon gathered pace and found our way around the ‘tworld’ with Twitter becoming another important element of our communications toolkit. It enables companies like ours the chance to offer immediate comment on industry issues and build a dialogue with our ever growing number of followers (over 300 at last count). That’s not to mention the amazing ability Twitter has to provide up-to-the-minute news from other industry professionals and commentators.
A good example of how Twitter works is with the launch of our first ever TV ad campaign ‘The Optimist’. We were able to get an immediate reaction from ‘tweeple’ (people) about the new ad as well as delivering quick injections of optimism.
I hope that our optimistic tweets spread some positivity and inspired increased confidence in the housing market with our followers. With current Twitter follower figures growing at a massive three thousand per cent per month we expect to continue forging new twiendships and intend to keep the tweeting world abreast of the latest news at Twiller I mean Miller Homes.
