The excellent amenities within Huddersfield town centre include the superb Galpharm Stadium which, in addition to being the home of the local rugby and soccer teams and a major venue for international concerts and sporting events, provides public swimming and fitness facilities.

Shopping
There is good local shopping around Acre Street and Lidget Street, close to the celebrated Lindley Clock Tower
and just a few minutes’ walk from Plover Mills, with convenience stores and traditional food shops as well as hairdressers, restaurants and take-aways, post offices and other services. There is also a Tesco Express supermarket in New Hey Road, around three-quarters of a mile from the development. Central Huddersfield has an excellent retail environment that includes the Piazza outdoor mall and the adjoining Market Hall with its distinctive roof. The vast Junction 27 Retail Park, around 25 minutes’ drive away, includes a wide choice of larger stores, including Ikea, Habitat, HMV and Toys-R-Us.

Transport
Just a mile-and-a-half from the M62, Lindley is in easy commuting range of Leeds, Bradford and Manchester. There are excellent local bus services running along Acre Street and New Hey Road, and the bus station in town provides access to a wider network. From Huddersfield Railway Station, a magnificent building in St George's Square, there are train services to Leeds and Manchester, and Leeds Bradford Airport is around 15 miles away.

There are two comprehensive medical practices offering a range of clinics and full GP services, within a few minutes' walk of Plover Mills, with The Lindley Group Practice being the larger of the two. In addition, there are two dental surgeries and a pharmacist within around half a mile of the development, and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, which has full A&E provision, is only around 600 yards away.
