From Edinburgh
Leave Edinburgh by the A702, passing through Morningside and Fairmilehead, and cross the City of Edinburgh Bypass (A720), at the roundabout, take the first exit to join Biggar Road (A702), following signs for Carlisle. Stay in the left-hand lane, and after half a mile, bear left into Seafield Moor Road (A701). Follow signs for Peebles, passing through Penicuik and Leadburn, and entering Peebles by the Edinburgh Road (A703). At the roundabout, take the second exit to join the A72, following signs for Innerleithen. Stay on the A72, passing the turn-offs to Glentress and Cardrona, to enter Innerleithen. Turn right into Traquair Road (B709), signposted for Yarrow and St Mary's Loch, and the entrance to Clough Mills is second on the left.

From Peebles
Head eastwards along the High Street and Eastgate, and at the roundabout at the end of Eastgate, take the third exit to join the A72, following signs for Innerleithen. Stay on the A72, passing the turn-offs to Glentress and Cardrona, to enter Innerleithen. Turn right into Traquair Road (B709), signposted for Yarrow and St Mary's Loch, and the entrance to Clough Mills is second on the left.

From Galashiels
Leave Galashiels by Island Street and Leebrae (A72), following signs for Peebles, and stay on the A72 through Clovenford and Walkerburn to enter Innerleithen. Pass along the High Street, then turn left into Traquair Road (B709), signposted for Yarrow and St Mary's Loch, and the entrance to Clough Mills is second on the left.
