Greenwich Gardens
With its attractive layout and landscaping, and its lively mixture of houses and apartments designed to foster a real sense of neighbourhood, Greenwich Gardens brings superb modern homes to one of the most convenient locations in the North West. Just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre, the development is also a convenient base for commuting to Liverpool or Manchester.

Location
Once a vital workshop of the industrial revolution, today Leigh is an attractive and lively town with an active community and sporting life.

Leisure
Greenwich Gardens is just a few minutes’ walk from Hilton Park, the home ground of Leigh Centurions Rugby League Club. The Centurions are one of the organisations behind the planned development of Leigh Sports Village, an exciting £75 million project designed to bring a stunning range of sporting facilities and social amenities to the town. The plans include a major new stadium and arena, gymnasium and sports hall, swimming-pool, all-weather pitches, walking and jogging trails, health and transport provision, and educational facilities. There is a Superbowl close to the development, and a sports centre at Howe Bridge in Atherton, less than a mile away, with two pools, a sports hall and various pitches. Nearby, Lilford Park includes excellent play facilities for children and Pennington Flash Country Park presents exceptional opportunities to enjoy the wildlife and walk around the 70-hectare lake. The Leeds to Liverpool Canal, once an important part of the town’s industrial past, is now busy with leisure craft, ramblers and cyclists.

Shopping
There are convenient local shops in Leigh Road, and a wide range of specialist retailers and high-street names in the pedestrianised town centre and the Spinning Gate Shopping Centre. There is also a traditional indoor market covering everything from fresh produce to fashion. The Parsonage Retail Park is also within walking distance.

Transport
Greenwich Gardens is close to the A580, bringing Liverpool and Manchester into easy commuting range. There is a major bus station next to the Spinning Gate Shopping Centre, and a rail station around three miles away at Atherton with links to Wigan and Manchester Victoria.
