East Shore Village

picturesque harbour, with the internationally renowned Seaham Hall Hotel only a few hundred yards away, East Shore Village presents a wonderful opportunity to live in almost rural surroundings. Yet it is just four miles away from the centre of Sunderland and in easy reach of Newcastle, Durham and the Teesside conurbation.

Location
With beautiful beaches and stunning, panoramic seascapes on the doorstep, it’s easy to forget that East Shore Village has easy and fast access to almost every town and city in the North-East.

Leisure
Refreshing sea air and seaside walks are a way of life in Seaham. Away from the shoreline, however, the town’s attractions include an 18-hole golf-course and the superb Seaham Hall Hotel, a few minutes’ walk from the development, which complements cordon bleu dining facilities with one of the finest spa clubs in Europe.
The short trip into the city of Sunderland brings a whole new range of activities into reach. The major leisure centre at Crowtree provides superb swimming and diving facilities, sauna and steam room, sports halls, squash courts and indoor bowling. Cultural attractions include a modern library, which incorporates an exciting Centre for Contemporary Art, and the Rose Theatre, where the wide-ranging programme includes concerts and touring shows. And museums dedicated to exotic plants, local history and steam railways are joined by the breathtaking building and displays of the national Glass Centre.

Shopping
Seaham’s local shops, covering most everyday needs, are concentrated in Church Street, just yards away from East Shore Village. There are also two major supermarkets within five miles of the development.
In Sunderland, the Bridges Shopping Centre has recently doubled in size and now contains a comprehensive choice of high-street stores and designer names, supplementing excellent shops, restaurants and wine bars throughout the rest of the city. The renowned Metro Centre, just 15 miles away, is linked by a regular train service from Seaham Station.

Travel
Seaham is only four miles from Sunderland, 10 from Durham and 12 from Newcastle, with excellent road connections north and south via the A19, and west via the A690 to Durham and the A1(M). The local train station, five minutes’ walk from the development, has regular services to Hartlepool, Middlesborough, Sunderland and Newcastle, and there are bus services running to Sunderland, Peterlee and Durham.
