Sandringham Meadows
With its delightful, tree-lined setting on the southern fringe of Blyth, next to open farmland and just a short stroll from the beach, Sandringham Meadows is a calm retreat from city life and a wonderful place for children to grow up. Just a short distance from Tyneside, it is also an exceptionally convenient base for the commuter.

Location
The largest town in Northumberland, Blyth combines modern facilities with a beautiful, natural setting and lively seafront attractions.

Leisure
Sandringham Meadows offers the best of all worlds. South Beach, a few minutes walk from the development, is part of the Heritage Coastline and one of a succession of fine beaches that attract visitors to the area. And inland, there are vast areas of countryside such as Plessey Woods, three miles away, where the magnificent mature forests and river are rich in wildlife. Peppered with castles, great houses and gardens, the area offers endless scope for exploration. Woodhorn, around five miles to the north, is the home of Experience Northumberland, a magnificent new heritage attraction opening later this year. Within Blyth itself, there is a large leisure centre with a swimming pool, and the town’s Ridley Park has just undergone major regeneration with exciting new fountains and water play features. The Phoenix Theatre presents a wide variety of live entertainment, and there are three golf courses within six miles of Sandringham Meadows.

Shopping
There are some local shops, including a co-op convenience store, based around Plessey Road near the development. Blyth town centre features a new covered retail area, the Keel Row, and a market is held in the town three times a week. Nearby Cramlington also has a good selection of shops, and central Newcastle and the Metro Centre at Gateshead are also in easy reach.

Transport
Sandringham Meadows is around two miles from the A189, offering a choice of fast routes into Tyneside. Blyth has excellent bus and coach links with the surrounding towns, and Newcastle Airport is just 20 minutes drive from the development.
