Charnwood Place
On the edge of Quorn, a delightful and lively village with a strong sense of history and character, Charnwood Place occupies a peaceful rural setting close to the River Soar. Yet the development, with its attractive open spaces and safe play area, is within easy commuting range of Loughborough, Nottingham and Leicester.

Location
On the eastern border of Charnwood Forest, with its fascinating walks and picturesque ruins, Quorn offers both a quiet retreat and a stimulating community life.

Leisure
The wide choice of landscapes and country parks in Charnwood Forest, with its magnificent views, is complemented by a wealth of popular walks throughout the surrounding countryside and along the River Soar and the Grand Union Canal. Rawlins Community College, in the centre of the village, has a swimming-pool which is open to the public, and Quorn also has a popular Lawn Tennis Club. The area offers a choice of fine golf-courses, and the Soar Valley Leisure Centre, around two-and-a-half miles to the south, includes a 25m swimming-pool, sports hall, fitness studio, sauna and a floodlit all-weather pitch. Other attractions within easy reach of Charnwood Place include Stonehurst Family Farm and Motor Museum at nearby Mountsorrel, and the National Space Centre in Leicester, with its superb exhibitions and exciting activities.

Shopping
There is a useful selection of local shops in Station Road, Quorn, and a wider range of retailers in nearby Barrow-on-Soar and Mountsorrel. Within around two-and-a-half miles, there are several supermarkets (including an oriental food specialist) and a range of high-street names and specialist shops at Carillion Court in Loughborough.

Transport
The development is close to the A6, with good rail links from Barrow-on-Soar into Leicester and Loughborough, from where the Intercity network can be accessed. For a special travel experience, Quorn also has its own station on the Great Central Railway, which operates a regular timetable of steam trains between Loughborough and Leicester. Nottingham East Midlands Airport is around 15 miles away.
