The swimming-pool at Kirkham Baths is just a few minutes walk from Willow Fields, and there are further swimming and gym facilities, as well as a nine-hole golf-course, bowling alley, horse-riding and an indoor equestrian centre at Ribby Hall Village, approximately a mile from Willow Fields. The nearby Ribble Estuary is acknowledged as one of the UK’s best sites for watching wildfowl, with over a quarter of a million migratory birds visiting each year, and there is also a choice of celebrated golf-courses in the Lytham area.

Transport
Close to the M55 and in easy reach of the M6, Willow Fields is a convenient base for commuting throughout the North West. Kirkham and Wesham Railway Station, just 200 yards from the development, offers direct services to Blackpool and Preston, from where the intercity network can be accessed. Blackpool Airport is within 20 minutes’ drive, and the ferry port at Fleetwood is around 11 miles away.

Entertainment
Kirkham and Wesham have a good selection of local pubs, including the popular Railway Inn, just a few minutes walk from Willow Fields. The short journey into Blackpool, Lytham St Anne’s or Preston brings an enormous choice of bowling, theatres, cinemas and other entertainments and nightlife, including Blackpool Zoo and Sea Life Centre, into reach.

Shopping
Kirkham has a small range of shops catering for day-to-day needs, including a convenience store in Station Road, around 300 yards from Willow Fields, and a supermarket approximately half a mile away. The shopping centres at Teanlowe, on the eastern edge of Blackpool, and Hounds Hill in the centre of the town, provide access to a more comprehensive range of high-street names and specialist shops.

Health care
Kirkham Health Centre, less than half a mile from Willow Fields, is staffed by four doctors and provides specialist antenatal, family planning and mother and baby clinics, as well as full GP services. There is a second, larger practice at Ash Tree House, and a dental surgery in Poulton Street, all within easy reach of the development.

        From Manchester
        From the M60 ring road join the M61, and, at M61 junction 30, merge with the M6. Around five-and-a-half miles after joining the M6, at junction 32, join the M55, following signs for Blackpool. Stay on the M55 for around eight miles, and at junction 3, leave the motorway and take the first exit at the roundabout to enter the A585 (Fleetwood Road), following signs for Fleetwood. At the next roundabout, take the first exit to stay on Fleetwood Road, which becomes Garstang Road. After around half a mile, bear left into Station Road, then, after a further 100 yards, turn left into Derby Road. The development is around 100 yards further on.

        From Blackpool
        Leave Blackpool by the M55, and, at junction 3, leave the motorway and take the third exit at the roundabout to join the A585 (Fleetwood Road), following signs for Fleetwood, then follow the directions above.

        From Preston
        Leave Preston by the A583 (Riversway) and carry on into Blackpool Road. Pass the turnings on the left for Newton with Scales, then, at the next junction, bear right, leaving the A583 and follow signs for Kirkham. Follow Dowbridge, Preston Street and Poulton Street into the centre of Kirkham, and, at the second set of traffic-lights, turn right into Station Road. Carry on across the railway bridge then take the second right turn into Derby Road. The development is around 100 yards further on.
